It is always difficult to be completely eco-friendly at your next event, however it is important to try! There are many ways you can reduce, reuse and recycle!
- Find items around your office or home to use as furniture/decor rather then purchasing everything brand new.
- Use recycled or consumable products as giveaways.
- Do not sell or use items made from endangered or threatened species.
- Use soy-based ink and recycled paper to produce materials.
- Avoid using plastic carry bags. If needed, try sourcing paper bags or encourage customers to use their own.
- Purchase supplies that have minimal packaging. Use displays made from sustainable or reusable materials or designed in an environmentally friendly way.
- Recycle cardboard, freight boxes and plastic wrappings.
- Find out if the organisers have a collection system for leftover food for homeless or hospital charities.
- Use recycling bins wherever possible.
- Use electronic scanners or iPads to obtain your attendee database rather than a paper list.
